What does God, Society, Alternate Reality and Programming have in common?
Nothing .. other than I am reading 4 books at the moment relating to these topics.
Arguments for and against God’s existence. Dawkins, from a couple of documentaries I’ve seen, seems to be antagonistic and just as closed minded as the religious people he accuses of being close minded. However, he does raise some interesting things I had not thought of before. Early days in this book, although viewing a couple of documentaries and reading this book, is highlighting that logic and faith seem to be mutually exclusive.
1970s book about the rate of change in society. Scary, even back then he was worried, and that acceleration of technology and social change seems more relevant now. Onward “Death of Permanence” or so it seems from my reading so far !
Learning to be a better programmer .. improving my craft.
First in the series (I think) of Detective Konstantin, followed on by “Dervish is Digital“. This book (although I’m only 15% in) is about people dying while hooked into Alternative reality.
I have ordered more books .. so many books, so little time.
